Ayat Allentown stands out as a Michelin Guide-featured Palestinian restaurant, proudly bringing Middle Eastern culture and cuisine to the heart of Pennsylvania. Established on Tilghman Street, a hub of Lehigh Valley's history and vibrancy, our restaurant combines tradition with a modern twist. Our story began with a love for authentic Palestinian food and a desire to share it with the community. Every dish on our menu reflects centuries of culinary heritage, from the aromatic Za’atar to the savory Lamb Maklouba.

We source Halal meats, use sustainable packaging, and emphasize hospitality rooted in love and respect. Our chefs prepare each plate with precision, ensuring the flavors are true to their roots while appealing to contemporary tastes. Over the years, we've become a local favorite, praised for our warm atmosphere, community spirit, and commitment to quality. For us, food is a bridge—connecting people, cultures, and stories around the table.

We believe that dining is a shared experience, so we host events, cater local gatherings, and participate in Allentown's lively food scene. Our goal remains simple: serve good food, explore traditions, and foster a welcoming space for everyone.

Customer Reviews

Food was very good. Service was even better with just the right amount of checking in. Love the family friendly atmosphere and decor. Our waitress was great at guiding us thru the menu and what to order for our family size. The juicy soft chicken was the family favorite. Will be coming back.

This is a great restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was incredibly friendly and helpful. The ladies there were so nice, kind and polite and helped us navigate the menu. My son enjoyed his chicken and I enjoyed my lamb. A little pricey but worth it. Falafel was great too, will be coming back for sure.

This definitely looks like a fancier place to dine in. The staff was kind of nice because it was the end of the night. So I think that they were really just done with the day but the woman was nice. The male greeter was eh. The food was absolutely delicious though. The lamb was fall off the bone I really liked that they had the ground beef in the rice with the vegetables. I had this dish many times but never with the ground beef and that definitely helped. I really like that they gave you a reusable bag to take your food out with and they used cardboard so it was very sustainable.

Never tried Palestinian food before, and this place was so good! We had the lamb ouzie royale and the fried eggplant dish—both were delicious. Our server was really sweet, and the interior was beautifully decorated too.

A Hidden Gem in the Lehigh Valley! Ayat in Allentown is an absolute treasure. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality that makes you feel like family. The service is truly five-star—attentive, kind, and full of heart. The food is simply delicious. Every dish bursts with flavor and authenticity, from the freshly baked pita to the authentic dishes like Masakhan. You can taste the love and tradition in every bite. Don’t skip the mint tea or kanafa —they’re the perfect finish to a perfect meal. But what really sets Ayat apart is its wonderful spirit. The atmosphere is vibrant and cultural yet cozy, and it radiates pride in the artistic decor and in what they do. Highly recommend to anyone craving delicious Middle Eastern / Palestinian cuisine served with heart.
